Curriculum
Our curriculum weaves traditional yogic teachings with embodied practice, honoring both the philosophical roots of Yoga & its living expression in the modern world.
Throughout our time together, we will explore the following foundations to support &
expand both your personal practice & your path as a teacher.
Through rich discussion, embodied practice & self inquiry, we deepen our understanding of
Yoga & how it can be shared with integrity while honoring its roots.
Yoga Philosophy & Humanities
Journey into the philosophical roots of Yoga through foundational texts such as the Yoga Sutras & the Bhagavad Gita. Together we explore the ethical foundations of yogic living through the Yamas & Niyamas, the historical evolution of Yoga & the deeper context from which these teachings emerge.
Special guest teachers will also share insights from Vedic traditions & yogic philosophy, expanding our understanding of Yoga as a living lineage.
Anatomy and Physiology
Gain practical insight into how the body moves & functions. We explore how yoga postures affect muscles, joints & internal systems while learning how to adapt practices safely for different bodies.
This foundation supports the creation of inclusive, intelligent classes that meet students where they are.
The Subtle Body
Using the chakra system as a map, we explore the energetic dimensions of yoga practice. You will be introduced to the prana vayus, the koshas & the five elements, deepening your understanding of how energy moves through the body & informs our lives & practice.
This section also includes an introduction to Ayurveda & the doshas, shared by a special guest teacher.
Asana Practice
Deepen your personal asana practice while developing the skills to guide others with clarity and care.
Learn alignment principles, Sanskrit names of postures, verbal & hands-on adjustments, and how to
adapt postures for different bodies and abilities.
Pranayama, Mantra & Meditation
Discover the power of breath through pranayama techniques that calm the mind and energize the body. Cultivate a regular meditation practice and explore the use of mantra as a tool for inner connection,
focus, and devotion.
Teaching Methodology
Unlock the art of teaching with labs on class sequencing, effective communication, & holding space for students. Develop the confidence to lead a yoga class while learning to respond intuitively
to the energy of the room.
Practicum
Put theory into practice through teaching opportunities. Receive constructive feedback from experienced instructors and peers, refining your teaching skills and gaining valuable
insights for growth.
Professional Essentials
Explore practical tools to support your journey as a yoga teacher, including ethical teaching practices, basic business skills & marketing foundations.
This section is designed to help you share your work in a way that feels authentic,
sustainable & aligned with yogic values.
Ceremony + Yoga-off-the-mat + Seva
You will experience the practice of yoga beyond the mat through nature sessions, elemental ceremonies and special visits to expand your vision, knowledge & connect to yourself & each other. You'll find your own way to serve the collective & the lands through Seva projects to be in sacred reciprocity & loving service.

Guest Faculty

Nitai Rama Dasa
Bhakti Yoga - Bhagavad Gita Satsang
Nitai’s journey into the world of Bhakti began in 1997 when he discovered kirtan for the first time. This discovery inspired him to fully immerse in Bhakti ashram and temple life, which he continues to this day. Nitai has deeply studied Bhakti texts such the Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, Chaitanya Charitamrita, and other core teachings to the Gaudiya Bhakti tradition.
Nitai was formerly initiated into the Gaudiya tradition on February 6, 2001, in Mayapur, West Bengal, India. He has since spent his time in
Bhakti communities across Canada, the U.S.A., and India.
Nitai is currently a director for Kirtan Vancouver, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating immersive Kirtan experiences for people throughout the lower mainland.
Nitai's intention for this YTT: "The Bhagavad Gita can be read through many lenses, but the Bhakti lens of the heart is perhaps the most joyous and transformative."

Adriana Agüeros
Vinyasa + Asana Labs
Adriana loves sharing her passion for movement. A passion that has improved her relationship with herself, her community, and environment around her. It is impossible not to want to share it with others. Her purpose is to inspire those around her to get curious in their own path of connection with their body.
Adriana is a dedicated navakaraṇa teacher. She was fascinated by the melody, the rhythm, and the meticulous way in which each movement was built in the practice. However, what made her fall in love with this method was the energy of the Ujjāyī breathing: All students flowing and breathing as one.
She loves holding space for her navakaraṇa kula (community). A space for creativity and inclusion, where our paths of self transformation converge.
