Ashtanga Mysore Class
Is one of the most effective methods to develop a consistent yoga practice.
Each student moves independently - working on their own practice - according to the timing of their own breath.
Each student works through their sequence of postures, as they have learned them from their teacher. Meaning that the room remains a meditative quiet space despite the class being a group experience.
The teacher moves through the room, giving assistance, instruction, and guidance as needed on a one to one basis - which is one of the most effect ways to learn.
The practice is shared based on the individual needs of the student.
This is a time slot class, meaning students can arrive quietly at any time between 6-8:30am.
Half Led Primary Ashtanga
In this Half Led Primary class, we explore the traditional vinyasa of Ashtanga Yoga.
Tiaga Prem will share the opening + closing chants, Sanskrit + English count, ujjayi breathing, bandhas (core strength), drishti (concentration / focus point), mudra (hand position), surya namaskar (sun salutations), standing sequence, asanas (postures) and the closing sequence in Ashtanga Yoga. Once students have attended several classes, hands-on adjustments will be offered with consent. This class is excellent for people looking to get stronger and more flexible combined with learning a traditional practice with meditative and spiritual elements.
